Pay Rate: Up to $62 per hour (W2), depending on experience

Duration: 1 Year

Overview

We are seeking an SAP Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) Subject Matter Expert to lead L2/L3 production support and continuous improvement initiatives for an end client of one of our Big Four clients. You will ensure stable operations, resolve complex incidents, and drive enhancements across MM and WM while partnering closely with business stakeholders, IT, and third‑party providers.

Core Responsibilities and Scope
  • Own the MM/WM support queue (L2/L3), ensuring SLA adherence, prioritization, and clear communication.
  • Perform gap analysis, functional specs for enhancements, configuration, unit/SIT/UAT support, and production deployments via approved change processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot jobs, queues, and interfaces (e.g., IDocs, PI/PO/CPI, 3PL/WMS, RF/handhelds).
  • Partner with business process owners in Procurement, Warehouse Operations, Shipping/Receiving, and Finance for process optimization and compliance.
  • Contribute to audit/SOX controls, transport governance, and segregation of duties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the resolution of complex incidents and service requests in MM and WM modules, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • User Support:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business users on day‑to‑day system issues and MM/WM process questions.
  • System Monitoring:
  • Proactively monitor system performance, identify issues, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Suggest and implement enhancements to MM/WM processes, configuration, and reporting.
  • Change Management:
  • Analyze, test, and deploy system changes and improvements according to established change management processes.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
  • Maintain clear documentation for system configurations, support procedures, and issue resolutions. Share knowledge with team members and provide training as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  • Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and third‑party vendors to ensure ticket resolution and system stability.
  • Integration Support:
  • Support integration with related SAP modules (SD, PP, FI/CO, etc.) to maintain end‑to‑end process integrity.
  • Conduct thorough investigations on recurring issues and propose long‑term solutions.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • 8+ years hands‑on SAP MM and WM configuration and support in global, high‑availability environments.
  • Deep MM expertise:
  • Procurement (PR/PO, outline agreements, source list/PIR, subcontracting, consignment, intercompany/STO)
  • Inventory Management (goods movements, physical inventory, cycle counting, batch management, serial numbers, split valuation)
  • Pricing conditions, account determination (FI integration), release strategies, output/labels, tax, message control.
  • Deep WM (LE‑WM/Stock Room Management) expertise:
  • Warehouse structure (storage types/sections/bins), putaway/picking strategies, TR/TO, HU management, RF transactions, replenishment, physical inventory.
  • Integration with IM, SD delivery/PGI, and PP staging/backflush.
  • Strong cross‑module integration with SD (deliveries/PGI/transportation), PP (staging/consumption), QM (inspection lots), and FI/CO (postings, account keys).
  • Technical proficiency for support:
  • Reading/debugging ABAP for issue triage; table/log analysis (SE16N, ST22, SLG1), jobs/updates (SM37/SM13), IDocs (WE02/WE05), authorizations (SU53/SUIM).
  • Experience with Service Now/Jira (or similar), SAP Solution Manager/ChaRM (or equivalent), and test management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident, problem, and change management (ITIL‑based).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
Preferred

Skills & Qualifications
  • S/4

    HANA MM‑IM and WM/Stock Room Management experience; exposure to EWM beneficial.
  • Experience integrating 3PLs, carriers, and label printing (Smart Forms/Adobe).
  • Familiarity with CPI/PO, Fiori apps, and barcode/RF solutions (ITS Mobile).
  • Industry background in CPG, manufacturing, life sciences, or automotive.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
