Network Administrator

Overview

Infosys is seeking a Network Administrator with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient network infrastructures. Proven expertise in managing LAN/WAN environments, configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, and ensuring high availability and performance of network systems. Skilled in troubleshooting complex network issues, optimizing network performance, and enforcing security protocols to safeguard organizational data. Ade outpatient collaboration with cross‑functional teams, managing vendor relationships, and supporting enterprise‑level IT initiatives.

• Plan, design, and deploy LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Configure and maintain network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.
• Perform regular firmware updates, patch management, and scheduled upgrades.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.
• Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
• Conduct security audits, enforce compliance with organizational policies, and mitigate cyber threats.
• Manage user access controls and permissions to safeguard sensitive data.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Perform regular backups and restore procedures to protect critical data.
• Utilize scripting (e.g., Python, Power Shell) and automation tools to streamline network operations.
• Optimize network performance through proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
• Work closely with network engineers, security teams, and application teams to align network policies with business needs.
• Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to non‑technical stakeholders.

• Minimum of 4 years of Information Technology experience and at least 4 years in Network Administration.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution (or three years of progressive experience in lieu of a year of education).
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Memphis, TN;
  Richardson, TX;
  Hartford, CT;
  Indianapolis, IN;
  Raleigh, NC; or Tempe, AZ, or be willing to relocate to one of those areas.
• Position may require travel across the United States.
