Position OverviewThe Executive Vice President of Technology is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s technology vision to enable growth, operational excellence, and innovation. This role oversees all aspects of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and vendor partnerships. The EVP ensures technology investments deliver measurable business value, supports scalability, mitigates risk, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation.
The position reports directly to the President.
- Provide executive oversight for IT operations, infrastructure, and security protocols in partnership with the Director of IT.
- Establish governance frameworks for technology decision‑making, compliance, and risk management.
- Champion technology policies that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Drive successful implementation and optimization of enterprise software solutions, including Property Management Software (Real Page).
- Ensure seamless integration of new technologies with legacy systems to minimize disruption and maximize ROI.
- Oversee user adoption strategies and training programs to enhance system utilization.
- Develop and maintain a multi‑year technology roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
- Forecast and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and prioritization of high‑impact initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for competitive advantage and operational improvement.
- Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with technology vendors and service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Oversee licensing management and compliance for platforms such as Microsoft, Smartsheet, and Adobe.
- Identify and champion innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
- Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies for technology‑related vulnerabilities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on technology trends and strategic opportunities.
- Build and mentor a high‑performing IT team, fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- PMP, ITIL, or equivalent project and service management certifications.
- Cloud technology certifications (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Proven experience in executive IT leadership roles, preferably within real estate or property management.
- Deep expertise in Property Management Software (Real Page) and enterprise IT systems.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, budgeting, and cost optimization.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and change management abilities.
