Overview
W2 only, 100% remote, EST hours. Seeking Senior Business Analyst with extensive data experience (blend of business analyst and data analyst).
Top Skills- Energy industry experience (utilities, generation, gas, oil).
- Agile IT team experience gathering technical requirements for 6-7 developers; push back on tough developers.
- Enterprise scrum team experience building mature backlog;
Azure Dev Ops preferred. - SQL experience – pulling data, building queries, reports.
- Supported data platform project with extensive data‑driven projects.
Senior Level Business Analyst – support development of new data platform ingesting data from multiple source sites, using AI/ML to provide sales team lead generation.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities- Identify appropriate IT solutions and strategies supporting business unit strategies and goals.
- Maintain relationships with business and IT partners to build influence and secure buy‑in for governance functions.
- Assist with planning and coordination of requirements to drive solutions.
- Enhance engagement with business, IT partners and other stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge of key business unit processes, systems, initiatives and maintain knowledge of industry and IT trends. Contribute to strategy development.
- Apply technical knowledge to assist team through queries, data analysis, data repairs, code reviews and potentially code development.
- Assist IT Architecture and Engineering community to appropriately plan introduction of new technologies.
- Mentor, coach, and train more junior/less experienced team members to raise overall team capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, related field, or MBA.
- Minimum 8 years experience in business analysis or related field.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Advanced technical skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Track record of following through on commitments.
- Excellent planning, organizational, time management skills.
- Experience leading and developing top‑performing teams.
Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN. 100% remote.
Pay and BenefitsHourly pay range: $60.00 – $65.00/hr benefits subject to change; may include medical, dental & vision; critical illness, accident, hospital; 401(k) retirement plan; life insurance; disability; health spending account; transportation; employee assistance program; time off/leave.
