Security Analyst

Role: Information Security Analyst
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204 (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Overview: The Information Security Analyst will audit and monitor systems containing confidential data, support compliance with state/federal regulations, and assist with system security, logging, auditing, and vulnerability management. They will also participate in federal/state audits and help maintain security standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security conditions and report findings to leadership
• Assist with log configuration, analysis, and reporting
• Participate in audits (IRS, SSA, OCSE, FBI, SBOA) and help remediate findings
• Develop information security policies, standards, and SOPs
• Recommend security safeguards for new and existing systems
• Perform periodic security audits and generate reports
• Stay updated on laws affecting privacy, network, cloud, and data security
• Collaborate with IT teams across systems, development, and operations
• Mentor junior staff and support additional tasks as assigned

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of security tools, policies, and NIST guidelines
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation
• Familiarity with domain structures, authentication, certificates
• Ability to work with diverse technical teams
• Security degree or certifications (CISSP) preferred
• Network admin experience preferred
