Salary Statement

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $93,002.00but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Assist the IT Director in developing current and long-range direction of technology in accordance with the direction of the agency.
- Assist the IT Director in setting policies and procedures, technical standards and methods and priorities for information systems activities.
- Assume director’s responsibilities in their absence.
- Dispense technical advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures.
- Analyze new technologies and make recommendations.
- Assist the executive team in the budgeting process
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Monitor time and dollar expenditures to ensure projects and budgets meet established targets
- Represent the agency’s information technology division at events and meetings
- Assist in the budgeting process with agency senior management for the information technology division.
- Coordinates, reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations related to requests for proposals of information technology/security projects, ensuring that proposals comply with technical specifications and other IT strategic objectives.
- Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development.
- Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate the performance of employees. Ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
- a Bachelor's Degree and 1+ year of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or
- an Associate's Degree and 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or
- at least 5+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology or a related field, applying the below, outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.
Related certifications and coursework may be considered for education or experience.
- Extensive knowledge of information technology, information security, information management, project management, and/or business management.
- Ability to bridge technology and business goals to provide productive solutions.
