Overview

The Platform Developer is a highly skilled technical expert responsible for developing, maintaining, and innovating the global demo environments used across Genesys. This role requires a broad mix of technical depth in cloud infrastructure, web development, Dev Ops, AI adoption, and Genesys product expertise to ensure that the global demo ecosystem remains stable, secure, scalable, and always ready for use.

The developer supports internal teams and authorized partners who rely on these systems to deliver compelling, real‑world demonstrations of the Genesys Cloud platform. This role directly impacts revenue, enabling sales teams and showcasing Genesys innovation to prospects and customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Web Development: Develop and maintain the primary demo web application and portal, along with vertical‑specific "fictional customer" sites (e.g., banking, healthcare, retail) that support storytelling and showcase Genesys capabilities. Use modern web technologies to create polished, immersive digital experiences that bring demo use cases to life.

AI Adoption & Automation: Integrate AI into daily workflows, demo creation, automation, and internal tooling. Leverage Genesys AI, LLMs, and MCP to streamline processes, enhance troubleshooting, accelerate content creation, and build AI‑driven demo experiences, identifying opportunities where AI adds meaningful value.

Demo Development: Design and maintain compelling Genesys Cloud demonstrations that highlight platform capabilities. Build end‑to‑end use cases, integrate APIs, and develop realistic workflows that support strong technical storytelling. Continuously update demos to align with product enhancements and customer expectations.

Infrastructure & Dev Ops Management: Support and enhance the AWS‑based demo infrastructure using services such as S3, Cloud Front, Lambda, Dynamo

DB, RDS, and API Gateway. Apply Dev Ops best practices—including CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and cost optimization—to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Support: Serve as an escalation point for demo environment issues, ensuring timely triage and resolution of field requests. Troubleshoot failures, configuration issues, and integration problems with a customer‑first approach that keeps global teams ready to demo.
