The Position

Location:

Remote (initial training may be in Indianapolis, IN).

Schedule:

This position is within a 24/7 call center and requires working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as determined quarterly.

The Opportunity

This position provides technical support to customers, answering basic questions on function and usage of products via the Technical Support Center. The role may also provide technical assistance to sales, marketing and other Roche departments. You will analyze basic problems with non‑functioning electro/mechanical equipment, software applications or reagents to identify problem area(s) and recommend corrective action. You will serve as the primary support liaison between Roche and the customer, recommend solutions to customer’s application questions and maintain a database of problems so recurring problems can be analyzed and reported.

You will apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the particular field of specialization, have significant on‑the‑job training or formalized education in the specific area, and demonstrate originality or ingenuity. You will contribute independently or with a team toward a program or department goal or service, interface with internal customers and departments, and be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Who

You Are

You hold an Associate’s Degree in Electronics (or equivalent military training or related field engineering experience), Medical Technology or a related field.

Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science is preferred.
  • Ability to gain a basic knowledge of all Roche products within the business area.
  • Effective customer service skills, including a positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and maintenance of ongoing customer relationships.
  • IT Middleware experience.
  • LIS/LIMS experience.
  • Security, Network+, Call Center IT experience, and industry experience.

The expected salary range for this position based on Indianapolis, IN is $48,000 – $89,100/year. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
