The selected applicant will be providing support to existing production applications and will be providing work management and technical leadership to a team performing technical analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, deployment and implementation of changes, modifications, and enhancements to legacy applications.
Responsibilities- Responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation for new and existing legacy application software, and production support for systems with medium complexity.
- Primary DXC client point of contact in the COS area.
- Qualifications include good organizational skills, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, good time‑management skills, ability to work independently and effectively communicate with team members and customers.
- The applicant must be capable of working at a broad technical level and must be able to apply business knowledge and technical skills to systems development.
- Position requires 6+ years of programming and related experience as outlined above.
- Mainframe application skills and experience are required. Skills and tools include (but not limited to): COBOL, IMS, DB2, MFS, DLT0, Debugger, Syncsort, TSO and other IBM Z/OS mainframe technologies and utilities. ADF knowledge and experience are pluses.
- Manufacturing experience (preferably in the steel industry) is highly recommended.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, information systems or related field preferred.
- Six or more years of support services or project or program experience.
- Experience working with the technology industry.
- Experience working with company products and operating systems.
- Experience working with computer systems and their use.
- Good project management skills.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Accounting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
