Overview
We are seeking a Corporate Recruiting Sourcing Specialist to provide immediate recruiting support during a period of high hiring volume. This contract role will focus primarily on sourcing and conducting initial phone screens, helping reduce backlog and improve speed to hire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recruiter who enjoys high volume, front end recruiting, thrives in a team environment, and is comfortable speaking with blue collar and operational candidates.
This company is headquartered on the southeast side of Indianapolis. The Corporate Recruiting Sourcing Specialist will work onsite while in training and then can move to a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week onsite).
What You'll Be Working OnThe majority of recruiting support will be for field and operational roles
, including:
- Technicians
- Mechanics
- Yard Coordinators
- Other skilled and blue collar positions
While you may touch other roles, the primary focus will be on technician and mechanic hiring.
Key Responsibilities- Source and generate leads for open positions
- Conduct initial phone screens with candidates
- Facilitate candidate conversations
- Take clear, detailed notes from phone screens
- Assess baseline qualifications and culture fit
- Pass qualified candidates to internal recruiters for next steps
- Support the recruiting team with high volume hiring needs
- Maintain professionalism when speaking with candidates of varying communication styles
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience with recruiting, sourcing, and candidate phone screening
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking on the phone
- High level of attention to detail
- Patience and professionalism when engaging with blue collar candidates
- Ability to follow direction and adapt to changing priorities
- Team oriented mindset with a positive, flexible attitude
- Ability to handle repetitive work without frustration
- Experience supporting high volume recruiting
- Familiarity with Jobvite or similar ATS platforms
- Contract recruiting experience
- Onsite required initially for first few weeks of training
- Hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office) once established
- Laptop will be provided
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
