We are seeking a proactive and highly adaptable HR Generalist to join our growing Human Resources team. This role provides comprehensive HR support across employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, wellness, compliance, and HR technology.
We are looking for a resourceful and confident professional who is comfortable making decisions, managing competing priorities, and providing hands‑on HR support. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates strong judgment, and builds trusted relationships at all levels of the organization.
Working closely with the Human Resources Manager and Director of Human Resources, this position serves as a trusted partner to employees and leaders, ensuring HR programs are strategic, compliant, and aligned with our people‑first culture.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for employees and leaders, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations matters, and general HR support.
- Facilitate a variety of HR programs, including compensation, benefits, wellness initiatives, leave administration, and performance management.
- Act as an onsite and virtual HR presence for employee relations matters, including sensitive issues requiring confidentiality and in‑person support.
- Oversee performance management processes, including reviewing employee feedback, facilitating talent review meetings, tracking completion, and generating reports to support leadership decision‑making.
- Provide counsel and support on employee relations issues, including participation in investigations, disciplinary actions, and offboarding processes, exercising professionalism and discretion.
- Maintain and optimize HR systems and technology to streamline HR operations and enhance the employee experience.
- Ensure accurate and timely employee data entry and HRIS reporting to support compliance, analytics, and decision‑making.
- Administer leave programs in partnership with KSM’s centralized HR and Payroll teams, including FMLA, short‑term and long‑term disability, New York State Paid Family Leave, and parental leave, ensuring compliance and compassionate communication.
- Support benefits programs, including open enrollment, wellness incentives, and ancillary benefits, responding to employee questions and needs.
- Assist with compensation processes, including merit reviews and bonus planning, in collaboration with HR leadership.
- Stay current on HR best practices, employment law, and emerging technologies, proactively applying insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support People Operations objectives and organizational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
