Position Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies
  • Network through construction societies and associations
  • Develop robust pipeline of construction talent
  • Work closely with the Manager of University & Trade School Relations as well as the Director of Military Relations to coordinate recruiting efforts across the United States
  • Work with hiring manager to develop individual recruiting strategies as needs occur
  • Conduct intake meetings to develop job descriptions, salary ranges, and recruitment timeline
  • Post positions in all applicable venues
  • Track candidates appropriately in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Select and interview the best candidates and coordinate with hiring managers to set up interviews
  • Maintain all applicant and interview data in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Prepare, seek approval for, and deliver offer letters
  • Once candidates accept offers, work with the Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist to onboard new employees
Education

High School Diploma

Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a preference for a Bachelor or Master's degree in business, construction, or human resources
  • Minimum of 8 years of corporate recruiting experience in construction, renewables, or similar industry OR minimum of 10 years' experience as a construction manager with an interest in moving into a corporate recruiting role

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and in a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior recruiters
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of a heavy civil construction and renewables company

PREFERENCES:

  • Bachelor or master's degree in business, construction, or human resources
  • Ability & willingness to work at the corporate office of IEA in Indianapolis, IN
