Summary
Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client in the Engineering industry to fill an entry to mid-level Corporate Recruiter position, with 1-5 years of experience.
Location:
This person will work from the office located centrally on the northside of Indianapolis. There will be occasional travel during spring and fall college career fair times.
The Corporate Recruiter leads full-cycle recruiting efforts to attract, engage, and hire top talent across the organization. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand business needs, develop effective sourcing strategies, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects the company’s culture and values.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
- Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and align on recruiting strategies.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring consistency and fairness throughout the process.
- Represent the company at recruiting events, job fairs, and campus programs to promote the employer brand.
- Train hiring managers on behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques.
- Oversee the offer process, including background checks, reference checks, and compensation recommendations.
- Ensure a seamless and positive experience for candidates and hiring teams.
- Manage the applicant tracking system (HRIS) and maintain accurate recruitment data.
- Develop and execute job posting strategies in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party recruiting partners when needed.
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics, providing insights to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current on industry recruiting trends and best practices.
- Develop, monitor, and report on key recruitment performance indicators (KPIs).
- Administer and promote the employee referral program.
- Consistently demonstrate the company’s core values: continuous improvement, customer service, teamwork, integrity, and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 1–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of recruiting best practices, employment law, and sourcing strategies.
- Ability to develop deep knowledge of the company’s organizational structure and roles.
- Occasional travel required for recruiting events and job sites.
- Experience in construction recruiting preferred.
- Familiarity with employer branding or social media recruiting is a plus.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
