Responsibilities
  • Using ADP to fulfill and support payroll duties
  • Compile payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, and identification numbers from time sheets and other records
  • Prepare computer input forms, enter data into computer files, or compute wages and deductions and update payroll records
  • Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Record changes affecting net wages (e.g., exemptions) to update master payroll records
  • Record data concerning transfers of Members between departments
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Prorate expenses to be debited or credited to each department for cost accounting records
  • Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions
  • Prepare and issue paychecks
  • Assist with new hire orientation
  • Assist with company-sponsored events, if needed
  • Assist with other HR duties as needed (e.g., social media, uniform program)
Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and personnel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Strong PC skills, Kronos, Oracle, Pay Com or ADP skills, and MS Office skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of all aspects of payroll processing, as well as applicable tax laws
Education
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field OR 5 - 10 years of HR experience with a manufacturing company preferred

Applicants must be a self-starter, work well under pressure, and able to handle multiple tasks. At a minimum, this position may occasionally require additional hours, including some second-shift meetings/communications.
