General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor for our Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport hotel! The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for managing day‑to‑day operations of all the kitchen staff, delivering excellent guest experience while training staff and working within budgeted guidelines.

Restaurant Supervisor Position Summary

The Restaurant Supervisor supports the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service, consistent standards, and a welcoming atmosphere for hotel guests, business travelers, groups, and locals.

Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Hospitality Standards
  • Deliver warm, attentive, and efficient service aligned with brand standards.
  • Oversee dining room flow, table assignments, guest seating, and service timing.
  • Respond to guest concerns with professional, timely service recovery.
  • Monitor overall ambiance, cleanliness, lighting, music, and presentation.
  • Manage VIP and loyalty guests by reviewing pre‑arrival notes, preferences, and special requests.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, support, and coach servers, hosts, bussers, and bartenders during service.
  • Conduct pre‑shift meetings covering menu updates, occupancy forecasts, specials, and service expectations.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new hires on service standards, safety, and guest engagement.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative team culture with clear communication and accountability.
Operational Responsibilities
  • Oversee opening, mid‑shift, and closing procedures, ensuring checklist completion.
  • Maintain compliance with health department, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
  • Manage the reservation system and coordinate with Front Office and Concierge for guest notes and room charges.
  • Ensure proper setup of stations, side work, and restaurant readiness each shift.
Beverage & Bar Support
  • Support the bar team by ensuring adherence to alcohol service laws, s, and responsible service.
  • Assist with beverage menus, promotions, and daily feature communication.
  • Monitor glassware, bar stock levels, and operational needs.
Financial & Administrative Duties
  • Assist with cash‑outs, tip distribution, voids/comps, and room charge accuracy.
  • Submit accurate shift reports, pass‑downs, and inventory inputs as required.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain ADA‑compliant seating and proactive accommodation for guest accessibility needs.
  • Enforce allergy and dietary protocols, ensuring accurate communication to Culinary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local ordinances, and alcohol service regulations.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of restaurant or hotel F&B leadership or senior service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced hotel environment.
  • Knowledge of POS and reservation systems (MICROS).
  • Liquor License and responsible alcohol service certifications required.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Safely lift or carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Navigate a busy dining room and service areas.
