Description
A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a professional who studies the behavior of children and adults to help address problematic behaviors.
BCBA responsibilities include:- Assent-based applied behavior analysis
- Pro-active intervention strategies
- Recognizing Assent Withdrawal
- Understanding the Principles of Reinforcement
- Knowledge of developmental processes of children/adolescents
- Interpersonal skills needed to manage crisis situations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products and other technology
- Experience working with ages 10 through young adults with developmental disabilities and/or unique learning needs
- Board Certification
- Prolonged periods of sitting or working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Repetitive physical activity such as data entry
