General Statement of DutiesThe Payor Relations Assistant supports the Payor Relations team by assisting with payer bundle activities, COE patient tracking, and insurance and benefit monitoring using Meditech and Athena. This role provides support for facility and provider credentialing, portal enrollments, and insurance and managed care surveys. The Payor Relations Assistant also assists with payment and claim-related issue resolution and maintains accurate records and reports.
- Provide administrative and operational support for payer bundle activities, including COE patient tracking and insurance/benefit monitoring using Meditech and Athena.
- Assist Ortho Indy (OI) and Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital (IOH) employees with payer and system portal enrollments and account setup.
- Support facility and provider credentialing efforts by gathering, updating, and maintaining required documentation for government and commercial payers.
- Assist with insurance, managed care, and payer survey completion by collecting data and coordinating responses as directed.
- Communicate with internal departments and external payer contacts to support resolution of payment and claim-related issues, escalating as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and tracking tools related to payer activities and credentialing status.
- Support special projects and ongoing initiatives for the Payor Relations team and other administrative departments as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- No prior experience necessary.
