Ready to make a real difference? Join us in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. We are currently seeking a Housekeeper on our main campus. Our team strives to ensure all residents reside in a safe, clean and healthy environment, and that the building and equipment are maintained in such a manner as to comply with the State Board of Health's rules and regulations.

Shift
:
Monday-Friday 5a-2:00p or 6a-3:00p (No weekends)

• Pay: $15.25 an hour

• Ensure all buildings are maintained in such a manner as to provide the cleanest environment as possible in which residents may live.
• Perform all daily, weekly and monthly duties as per the Housekeeping Cleaning standard operating procedures.
• Perform weekend duties as assigned: such as laundry, cleaning and stocking.
• Complete incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client.

• Ability to follow and execute specific oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 to 60 pounds from floor level to overhead in height.
• Must have the ability to maneuver 20 to 100 pounds vertically.
• Must have the ability to perform daily tasks by bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pulling and pushing with wrist, arm, shoulder and back movements.
• Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
• Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Must meet background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.

Physical
:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard;

to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
