Job SummaryThe Supervisor, Clinical oversees the daily operations, productivity, and quality of care within their designated unit or department. This position ensures the safe, appropriate, and efficient flow of patients while working collaboratively with clinic directors, office managers, physicians, and team members to achieve organizational and regulatory objectives. The Supervisor provides leadership, operational planning, and clinical oversight within their scope of licensure and competency, while supporting staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and budgetary goals.
EssentialFunctions
- Manages daily staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage, efficient operations, and the achievement of productivity targets.
- Provides leadership, supervision, and clinical oversight to allied health professionals, ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitors and evaluates staff performance, providing education, training, guidance, and feedback to foster professional growth and improvement.
- Collaborates with the clinic Director and office manager to address operational challenges, optimize workflows, and ensure a safe and efficient patient experience.
- Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and protocols to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
- Ensures the timely completion of pre-testing and clerical activities, including exam completion reports, data collection, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participates in budget management, equipment procurement, and supply inventory to ensure the department is adequately equipped for clinical services.
- Performs clinical duties within the scope of licensure and competency, including quality patient examinations and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Supervision and Staff Management
- Supervises, trains and oversees departmental staff.
- Schedules employees to ensure effective use of resources. Consults with Manager or Director on staffing issues.
- Assists with and contributes to performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Strategic Planning and Financial Oversight
- Assists in managing departmental budget ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high quality service.
- Monitors expenditures, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
- May contribute to evaluation and implementation of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- May contribute to development of departmental policies, procedures and protocols.
- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.
- May participate in audits, inspections and accreditation processes as applicable.
- Follows established quality control practices to ensure accuracy, consistency and safety.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Works closely with leadership teams to coordinate and improve service delivery.
- Stays up-to-date with industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Staff Responsibilities
- May work in a staff role, when required. Ensures that duties and responsibilities are fulfilled while meeting all competencies established for that job.
- Associate Degree or higher preferred
- 1-2 years of related experience in the profession required
- 1-2 years of previous leadership experience preferred

- Active license or certification in a relevant clinical field (e.g., RN, RT, LPN, or equivalent) required
