We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide (HA) that provides cleaning services to ensure a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and others. Housekeeping services must follow facility policies and procedures and are consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.
Essential Duties- Clean assigned resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to community policy while maintaining resident privacy and respecting their property
- Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
- Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors, or others
- Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids in accordance with facility policies and procedures
- Comply with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals, referring to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions
- Keep all chemicals and cleaning supplies in their original containers, ask supervisor if unsure about usage
- Monitor the workplace for safety and fire hazards and correct or report potential problem
- Report housekeeping and maintenance problems, including equipment breakdowns, to the supervisor
- Secure housekeeping supplies so that residents are unable to access
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience required
- Excellent organizational, time-management and computer skills
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by TCSL
- Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader
- Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
- Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
