NHS Lothian Pharmacy & Medicines Service (including evening, weekend, on-call and public holidays commitment) invites applications for a Specialist Pharmacist to support surgical specialities and aseptic unit at the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh.
AboutThe Role
This role involves providing specialist clinical pharmacy service to General Surgery, Critical Care, Orthopaedics and Reproductive Medicine. The post holder will deputise for the aseptic services manager, develop and deliver high‑quality clinical services, and expand technical skills through staff management, training and education.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist with a passion for delivering exceptional clinical care.
Essential Qualifications And Experience- A Master of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent).
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Completed training or equivalent competence aligned with the RPS Post‑Registration Foundation Pharmacist Curriculum.
- Experience in proactively influencing prescribing to optimise patient care.
- Strong patient‑focused approach working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills in a surgical setting.
- Proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
