Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with 18 months to 2 years of Level 1 trauma and surgical radiography experience for a day shift contract.
Responsibilities
• Work in a Level 1 trauma center supporting over 30 operating rooms, 6 ICUs, a 70+ bed emergency department, and approximately 700 inpatient beds
• Perform diagnostic X-rays in the ER, OR, and on trauma, extremities, abdomen, spine, pelvis, and chest/thorax cases
• Schedule is Thursday and Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Utilize GE and Siemens imaging equipment
• Cerner EMR charting required
• Floating may be required to other units within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must be able to fulfill holiday coverage requirements of two out of three major holidays
• Up to 5 days of requested time off can be auto-approved
• Perm or PRN employees must have a 12 month separation before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Team-based environment with support across multiple specialty departments
• Must adhere to the hospital call-in and shift make-up policy
Requirements
• Certified Radiologic Technologist with ARRT and BLS (AHA or RQI accepted and current)
• IN license or compact license required by start date (license required if applicable and pending license is acceptable if obtained within 2 weeks)
• Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of recent radiology experience with Level 1 trauma and operative procedures
• Proficient in using surgery/C-arm and conducting extremities, GI, abdomen, spine, pelvis, chest, thorax, ER, and OR imaging
• Experience with Cerner EMR required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university
