Resident Service Coordinator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Resident Service Coordinator to assist residents at our Cedar Ridge and Hampton Court apartment communities.

The Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) provides support to a diverse group of residents living in affordable housing communities. This position requires a motivated and resourceful individual who is sensitive to resident needs, has outstanding skills in coordinating services for residents, can work effectively within a team, and thrives in a relatively independent work environment – taking the initiative to proactively support resident needs.

• Resident Case Management:
  • Ensure the completion of resident intake, annual resident assessments, ongoing referral services, evaluation of health, psychological and social needs, development of individually tailored case plans for services, and periodic reassessment of the resident’s situation when services are not available through the general community.
  • Accurately maintain records of resident interactions, goals, desired outcomes, and family or individual achievements.
  • Follow up on resident lease violations notices, working proactively to reduce the number of notices that lead to evictions.
• Resident Programming And Engagement:
  • Work with the property manager, regional manager, resident success manager, and other team members to ensure that services are consistent with an existing resident services plan and that those services meet Glick’s service standards toward resident stability.
  • Facilitate and implement core programs as assigned by the program model and the site-specific resident services plan.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of ongoing resident engagement activities to understand needs, build relationships, foster community, and encourage participation in activities and services.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of regular onsite programs that meet residents’ needs and enhance quality of life.
  • Develop strong relationships with community-based organizations and providers for referrals and onsite services. Identify resident needs and develop strategies to connect residents with necessary services, resources, and supports. When external services are unavailable, the RSC may provide direct services.
  • Accurately collect and record data to measure resident and program outcomes.
• Supporting Resident Basic Needs:
  • Establish and maintain community-based partnerships supporting food access, rental and utility assistance, and eviction prevention.
• Administrative:
  • Manage RSC tenant relations and training expenses to ensure expenses are reasonable and funds are expended in a timely manner.
  • Complete, review, and submit reports on a timely basis and as requested.
  • Create monthly calendar of events and community newsletter.
  • Meet regularly with onsite property manager and attend regularly offered training.

• Bachelor of Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Counseling; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in social service delivery.
• Experience with PC-based word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and provide results for the population served.
• Able to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
