Overview

6am - 6 pm Monday - Friday, flex time 8-hour shifts). Remote - Training also done remotely, need to be physically located within the state of Indiana - preferable within 2 hour driving distance from one of three office locations Muncie, Shadeland (Indy-Metro), or Bloomington.

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate resolution of accounts receivable for Statewide IUHMG Physicians supported by Revenue Cycle Services. Responsibilities include, but not limited to resolution of pre-bill claim edits, insurance claim follow‑up, insurance claim denial appeal and recovery, cash posting, customer service phone calls, and patient collections.

• Team member would be responsible for resolving edits and completing follow‑up on denied invoices.

• Resolve denials, check eligibility, take/make calls to insurance companies, research, and keep up with changing payer rules/guidelines.

Cerner, IDX, Assurance, and payer websites experience is helpful but not required.
• At least one year of experience in hospital or physician billing strongly preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of payer billing requirements and regulations.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires the ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
