Location: Indianapolis

Incumbent is responsible for processing all referrals and releases to Community Corrections work release from Marion Superior Courts, Indiana Department of Corrections, Probation or other Community Correction Agencies. Incumbent will perform all tasks associated with case processing including but not limited to calculating credit time, printing and signing documents, obtaining legal documents, completing risk assessments, completing financial worksheets, determining fees owed and entering data.

The incumbent will follow the established policies and procedures which controls most of their actions. Incumbent will use very limited independent judgment. This position reports to Team Leader, Residential Processing.

  • Takes pictures of all clients going through processing at the work release
  • Schedule those that need electronic monitoring equipment out to have equipment placed on
  • Review and research court orders to assure referral or release with Community Corrections work release is accurate
  • Complete risk assessment according to Community Corrections policy
  • Assign each client to a case manager and schedule an initial appointment; provide each client a written reminder of this initial appointment
  • Complete data entry in case management systems
  • Complete required reports and documents
  • Conduct interviews with clients and answer basic questions
  • Calculate credit time and projected release dates for each client
  • Ensures compliance with the provision of information related to the Prison Rape Elimination Act
  • Complete orientation with new residents
  • Obtain and verify additional client information with outside agencies when necessary
  • Enter victim or alleged victim information into case management system
  • Check client addresses against victim/alleged victim address to verify proper distance
  • Provide electronic monitoring vendor with exclusion zone addresses as received from the Victim Advocate
  • Send all appropriate information to electronic monitoring vendor to ensure proper component equipment installation
  • Upload all intake-related documentation into the case management system
  • Oversee the inventory and storage of resident property within the work release facility
  • Maintain the staffing of the front desk for the visitor entrance of the work release facility
  • Must respond to voicemails, emails and resident message cards in a timely manner
  • Confidentiality is to be maintained at all times

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years’ prior work-related experience is required. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. following completion of initial training and certification. Must pass State IRAS certification exam within six (6) months of employment. Ability to work with others in a team environment, and maintain appropriate, respectful interrelationships with team-members.

Effective in treatment of customers whether face to face or via telephone in a professional and courteous manner. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
