Surgical Scrub Tech

Harrison County Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Scrub Tech.

Position available: Full-time, Days, 36 hrs/wk

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One of the following:
  Certification as surgical technologist, One year previous experience as Surgery Technician, completion of an accredited surgical technology program, or appropriate abilities and education as determined by the hospital, such as LPN, RN, etc.

The Surgery Technician/Sterile Processing Tech, under the supervision and direction of the Surgery Nurse, assists in the care of patients in the Surgery Department. He/she assists in the care, preparation and maintenance of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment. He/she functions as scrub assistant to the doctor and helps in the set-up and break down of the operating room. He/she should be emotionally stable and mature, accurate, and flexible in his/her dealings with other people.
