Overview
Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Cardiac Rehab Specialist.
Position available: PRN, Days, 8-16 hrs/wk.
ResponsibilitiesThe Cardiac Rehab Exercise Specialist performs the functions of a tech in the Cardiac Rehab Department in performing all assignments given by the registered nurse. Is accountable for all aspects in the delivery of patient care and clerical duties as assigned during a shift. Is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care and for promoting teamwork among co-workers. Responsibilities include all aspects of clerical duties and the delivery of patient care, as assigned.
Education/Experience- High School diploma or GED Certificate
- CNA preferred but not required
- CNA program or exercise/fitness specialist degree
- Basic computer knowledge
- Perform V/S
- Clerical duties
- Use of telephone, fax machine, and copier
- Computer knowledge/order entry
- May be asked to assist in stress lab with the stress lab staff
- Attend EKG class (if applicable)
For exercise tech specialist duties may include: help with referral phone calls, enter medications into EMR medication history, enter completed surveys into computer log, assist with 6 MWT at admission and discharge, orient phase 2 and phase 3 rehab patients and advance patients according to exercise prescription as needed, prepare discharge paperwork, assist with PI's, and other duties as assigned
