Radiology Tech, CT​/X-Ray, PRN

Harrison County Hospital is seeking an experienced Radiology Tech, CT/X-ray.

Position available: PRN, Day/Evening/Night as needed, 16 hrs/wk

The Radiologic Technologist III interprets physician orders, performs radiographic exams, and other duties related to producing quality medical images. The Technologist III is able to work independently in two or more modalities in addition to general radiography, such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Mammography. The role involves conducting exams that prioritize patient comfort and safety across all age groups. The Technologist III supports the hospital's customer service program and may require training in additional imaging modalities.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary to enhance departmental functions. The Technologist III provides quality patient care in accordance with the hospital's mission, philosophy, and policies, serving all age groups. They take reasonable care in patient care, understanding that mistakes can have serious consequences. Flexibility to work any part of a 24-hour shift is required to support departmental operations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• ARRT or equivalent certification.
• Previous CT and/or MRI experience preferred but not required.

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be ARRT registered.
• Maintain licensure by ISBH.
• CPR Certified.
• Annual PPD testing.
• Annual fire/safety training.
• Corporate Compliance training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Proficiency in reading and writing for communication and understanding.
• Sufficient verbal skills for patient and coworker communication.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

GENERAL SKILLS:

• Radiographic Procedures.
• Skills in at least one additional modality (CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography).
• Darkroom operation.
• Film file maintenance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Phone system operation.
• Basic computer skills.
