Autonomic Technologist

Overview

This position is full time, days, at Methodist Hospital
. The shift is 7am - 5:30pm.

This is an entry level position to gain proficiency in preparing and providing autonomic physiological testing and monitoring in the clinical outpatient setting, according to departmental guidelines. Will gain and demonstrate knowledge/understanding of typical physiological and cardiac patterns. Works with a high degree of supervision when recording and monitoring patient data. Reports findings and triages patient care needs when necessary. Maintains quality recordings and skilled in troubleshooting techniques.

• Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Required to be on an eligible pathway for CAP credentialing, as recognized by ABRET, at the time of hire.
• Required to obtain ABRET Certification Examination for Autonomic Professionals (CAP) credential within 36 months of hire.
• Requires current BLS certification.
• Requires ability to meet all autonomic competencies.
• Requires manual dexterity, visual acuity and the ability to concentrate for extended amounts of time under stressful conditions in order to properly and effectively administer Neurophysiological monitoring and testing.
