A nuclear medicine technologist performs nuclear medicine and molecular imaging procedures or therapies, under the supervision of a licensed practitioner and an authorized user. Responsibilities include preparing, administering, and documenting activities related to ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, medications, and radiation exposure, in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, and institutional policies. The technologist may also perform computed tomography (CT) exams for interpretation.
YourSkills and Qualifications
- Exceptional communication, technical, and patient care skills
- Aptitude for team collaboration
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique
- At least two years of clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine, which can be obtained through an accredited training program (preferred)
- CT experience (preferred)
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED - License:
Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Indiana and ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
