Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hearing loss in patients of all ages. This position includes diagnostic and device management responsibilities. Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for our patients of all ages. Testing could include Standard Behavioral Audiometry, Auditory Brainstem Response Testing (A /ASSR), Visual Reinforcement Audiometry, Conditioned Play Audiometry, Otoacoustic Emissions testing and Tympanometry.
Hearing device management for hearing aid and cochlear implant care for pediatric to geriatric patients. Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of students as appropriate. The primary location is downtown Indianapolis. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education, and department operations.
Requires graduation from an accredited academic program in Audiology; or, if foreign trained, graduation from an Audiologist education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA. Requires current Audiology license in the State of Indiana. Requires a certificate of clinical competence in Audiology or eligibility for certificate. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
