Mammography Technologist

Cedar Park Med is recruiting for Mobile Mammography Technologists for immediate openings.

The job is on the mobile mammography van, so the candidate must have the ability to travel. This position will require travel throughout various counties and varied hours to accommodate patients.

The counties include but are not limited to Onondaga, Oswego, Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Herkimer, Oneida, Madison, Cayuga, Cortland & Seneca.

Days and hours to be determined, must be flexible. 8-10hrs a day, but not more than 40 hours per week.

• AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent,
• NYS license/registration or eligible,
• ARRT in Mammography,
• Minimum of one-year progressive technical experience,
• Current CPR certification required,
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

• Perform mammography and stereotactic breast procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
• Greet patients, prepare them for their exam, and explain the procedure.
• Position patients appropriately for radiographs and use proper exposure factors to obtain high-quality images.
• Maintain quality standards for mammography as required by the 1999 ACR Mammography QA/QC Manual and Hologic Selenia Dimensions QC Manual.
• Maintain continuing education requirements specified by MQSA, track patient information into the Radiology information system for documentation and billing, and perform any other tasks necessary to maintain quality patient care.
