Duties
* Serve as the single point of contact to coordinate response activities and oversee both military and civilian SAPR VAs in providing a non-clinical response.
* Apply basic strategies for skilled communication, including developing rapport and actively listening, to perform essential victim advocacy and support duties for adult cases of sexual assault.
* Serve as the single point of contact for command notification regarding sexual assault reports within their AOR and have unimpeded access to the victim and subject's Commander.
* Provide expert guidance to SAPR VAs on the completion of the "Victim Advocate Recommendations to the Commander," finalize the recommendations package and provide to victim's Commander for decision.
* Inform victims of the resources available and manage reports of retaliation, reprisal, ostracism, maltreatment, or to request a transfer in accordance with DoD and Service policy.
* Assist victims to identify and prioritize referrals and SAPR program resources tailored to their unique needs, prioritizing victim self-determination and informed decision making.
* Employ complex trauma-informed practices to provide emotional support, ensuring victims feel respected, heard, and understood.
* Manage SAPR cases and referrals, to include data entry of official reports of sexual assault and SAPR Related Inquires into the Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database.
* Serve as a SAPR subject matter expert in interdisciplinary meetings and initiatives within the AOR and in the community as assigned by the Supervisory Principal SARC.
* Assist in program evaluation and improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions to the Supervisory Principal SARC and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Advisory Committee SAPRAC, as applicable.
* Collaborate and consult with other SAPR personnel to ensure efficient service delivery, manage caseloads, and meet reporting requirements within the applicable time frames per guidance.
* Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the SAPR VAs and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, work products, and services.
* Articulate and communicate to the SAPR VA team the requirements of assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.

* Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
* May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
* The employee will be required to take a drug test.
* Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
* Within 60 days of appointment to a Position of Trust and Moderate Risk;
* the employee must have a favorable completion and award of a Tier 3 background investigation and continuously maintain as directed by DoD and NGB to conduct duties and responsibilities as a SAPR Professional.
* Within six (6) months of appointment, must graduate from required SAPR training courses and be awarded the DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certificate.
* Incumbent must maintain an active D-SAACP certification in accordance with (IAW) Section 584 of Public Law 112-81 and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 6495.03 as a condition of employment.
* Incumbent must be able to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays, on an on-call or rotational basis.
* his position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 25% of the time. Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle should the need arise to operate a government vehicle/motor pool vehicle.
* This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing.
* This is an Essential Personnel position and may be subject to a maximum of 14 days of duty per year in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Qualifications BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Degree: 4-year degree behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position that included at least 24 semester hours of course work in the behavioral or social sciences.
