* driving your career forward!*### ### The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for setting up and maintenance of accurate cost information, maintenance of perpetual inventory system, Warranty and Extended Transmission Coverage analysis, and monthly financial close.### ###

Key Responsibilities:

* ### Perform monthly and quarterly financial close tasks to ensure proper cut-off for assets, liabilities, and expenses.* ### Prepare and post general ledger journal entries.* ### Analyze financial data and generate financial reports for management.* ### Analyze employee benefits to ensure liabilities are appropriately stated and prepare cost reports for management.* ### Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items.
* ### Assist in analyzing overhead budget and establishing inventory standards.* ### Provide analysis in support of global warranty liabilities, extended coverage liabilities and expenses to upper management.* ### Maintain accounting policies and procedures related to cost accounting activities.* ### Work closely with internal and external auditors on financial audits and internal controls testing.### ### Allison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
