ABOUT

THE ROLE

The Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis will serve as a strategic finance leader responsible for leading portfolio-level analytics, real estate underwriting, corporate forecasting, and decision support across the platform. This role partners closely with senior leadership, asset management, deployment (acquisitions, development, build-to-suit), and capital markets to provide insights that enhance performance, support growth, and enable data-driven decision making. The VP will lead financial modeling and financial reporting processes for the underlying assets and each investment vehicle.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with an understanding of the real estate industry to help drive data-informed decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis Leadership
  • Develop and enhance financial models and dashboards to evaluate performance, forecast cash flows, and support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Lead process improvements and system enhancements to streamline reporting and analysis for Investment Committee decisions.
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, partnering with asset management, capital markets, and development.
  • Champion automation, data integration, and analytical tools to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Partner with the CIO and CFO to evaluate capital allocate decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models for property acquisitions, developments, and operating portfolios.
  • Provide forward-looking insights on NOI growth, leasing activity, capex, development spend, and projected returns
  • Prepare quarterly management reports summarizing portfolio performance, cash flow, and capital allocation.
  • Assist in evaluating new investment opportunities, scenario planning, and return analysis.
Investment Management Support
  • Collaborate with the Acquisitions and Development teams to evaluate pipeline opportunities
Cross‑Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with the Deployment teams to evaluate pipeline opportunities and integrate underwriting assumptions into forward‑looking financial plans.
  • Work with Capital Markets to understand financing strategies and the impact on real estate performance.
  • Support preparation of materials for Board meetings, investor presentations, lender discussions, and fundraising activities.
  • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure alignment between financial reporting and planning outputs.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
  • Ten plus years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or real estate finance.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting tools including Argus; familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics platforms a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Expertise in real estate financial concepts (NOI, cap rates, IRR, etc.) and exposure to development, asset management, and investment management/fund structures required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with tight deadlines.
