The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and leading the accounting team with strong financial oversight and analysis.

• Education: Required:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration;
  Preferred:
  Master’s Degree (MBA) with a focus on Finance or Accounting
• Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: High degree of literacy
• Experience
  
  Required:
  
  5-10 years of progressive experience, including month‑end close, financial reporting, general ledger management, and supervisory experience
• Physical: Body Position: desk work and walking up to 12 hours; correctable eyesight and hearing; ability to lift 40 pounds;
  Body Movement: dexterity and ability to navigate office, warehouse, manufacturing equipment, and busy work areas
• Mental: Mathematics: excellent math skills
• Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English; write legibly; communicate with others

The Accounting Manager reports directly to and is accountable to the Chief Financial Officer.

The following functions and/or positions directly report to and are accountable to the Accounting Manager:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Staff Accountant

• Oversee and support daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and General Ledger activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
  , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports to provide actionable insights for leadership.
• Coordinate and lead year‑end financial audit
  , serving as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff
  , assigning tasks, providing training, mentoring, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure timely filing and compliance for all tax obligations
  , including estimated taxes, state nexus requirements, property taxes, and management of abatements.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  , including analysis of actual vs. budget performance and recommendations for improvement.
• Other duties as assigned to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
