We are seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Finance Leader to oversee the financial planning, analysis, and reporting for our global marketing organization. This role will lead a team of 10 finance professionals, providing strategic financial guidance to marketing leadership to drive efficiency, maximize return on investment (ROI), and ensure robust financial controls. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with deep experience in marketing finance, budgeting, forecasting, and team management.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary finance partner to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and other marketing executives, offering strategic financial insights and recommendations.
- Lead the annual budgeting and long‑range planning processes for the entire marketing organization.
- Develop and implement financial models to evaluate marketing program effectiveness, including ROI and LTV/CAC analyses.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting accuracy, and forecasting methodologies.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Team is approximately ten people.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to ensure team members achieve their full potential.
- Oversee workload distribution and project prioritization for the Marketing Finance team.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, analyzing variances against budget and forecast.
- Oversee the financial close process for marketing expenses, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
- Present financial findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner with Procurement and Legal teams on vendor contracts and expense management.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Finance team to ensure alignment on company‑wide financial goals and reporting standards.
- Support audit requirements and ensure financial compliance across all marketing activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or equivalent experience. MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Finance, with at least 5 years specifically in a Marketing Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leadership role.
- Proven experience managing a team of 5 or more finance professionals, ideally a team of 10 or more.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Expert‑level proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with enterprise‑level ERP and financial planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan).
Work Model:
This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week.
