Film Festival Projection Manager

Founded in 2004, the mission of the the Indy Film Fest is to create a shared experience around film in Indianapolis. We do this through presenting movies that entertain, inform, challenge and expand audience perspectives by providing a vivid reflection of the cultural diversity of the Indianapolis community and beyond. The Indy Film Fest is a 100% volunteer-driven organization, with every person involved in making the festival possible.

Indy Film Fest is looking for some detail-oriented computer-savvy folks who love movies to join our team!

Projectionist Managers oversee technical execution of film screenings to ensure high-quality presentation. This position includes responsibilities both leading up to our April 22-26 film festival and during the festival itself.

• Assist with quality control checks of film files
• Help set up and test our projection equipment
• Participate in projectionist training sessions

• Supervise volunteer projectionists
• Conduct pre-screening equipment checks
• Confirm proper playback, audio, subtitles, and formatting
• Monitor screenings and troubleshoot issues
• Communicate technical updates with Venue Managers

Attention to detail, comfort with macOS and AV systems, ability to troubleshoot under time constraints.
