Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Cell Site Technician / Commissioning & Integration (C&I) Field Engineer to support a major wireless network across Williams County. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge Ericsson-based network technology while driving high‑quality network activations in a dynamic field environment.
As a C&I Field Engineer, you'll be responsible for commissioning, integrating, troubleshooting, and optimizing wireless network elements with minimal oversight. Your technical expertise will ensure optimal network performance and seamless activation of new cell sites across the region.
Core Responsibilities- Ensure proper operation and performance of a broad set of wireless network elements across assigned sites
- Support the commissioning, integration, and activation of new cell sites, network hardware, and associated interconnect facilities
- Conduct site acceptance, testing, and coverage analysis to ensure optimal RF performance and network quality
- Perform network troubleshooting, fault isolation, and vendor coordination (primarily Ericsson)
- Update daily site logs, maintain accurate documentation, and generate clear and concise system reports
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Local, Regional, Area, Corporate) to meet deployment timelines and compliance requirements
- Execute activation tasks as required by regulatory guidelines or internal engineering standards

- Execute post‑scripting
- Verify traffic and conduct speed tests

- Integrate and provide alarming support for Westell systems
- Verify all external alarms (e.g., power plant, batteries, generator) are correctly implemented on site

- Complete router scripting
- Perform BB integrations
- Conduct call testing and alarm testing
- C‑Band Modifications
- Execute post‑scripting
- Conduct call testing and on‑site speed testing

- Re‑script the Customer Service Router (CSR)
- Verify bandwidth changes
- Test the site and surrounding area
- New Builds (Start‑to‑Finish)
- Commissioning & Integration (C&I) – 5+ years
- Proven experience turning up and integrating new cell sites into the live network
- Ericsson Equipment Experience – 3+ years
- Strong hands‑on experience with Ericsson RAN hardware, software, and network elements
- Field Engineering / Wireless Network Operations – 5+ years
- Expertise in troubleshooting, drive testing, RF validation, and site acceptance support
- Exceptional problem‑solving skills with ability to work independently
- Strong technical documentation and reporting capabilities
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams across multiple organizational levels

Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr.
