We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer - New Business Development for a full-time. The Sales Engineer - New Business Development will be responsible for driving new business development by identifying and engaging prospective clients, presenting tailored manufacturing and engineering solutions, and managing the sales process from lead generation to closing. You will collaborate with internal teams, provide technical support, and develop strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.
The role requires proactive communication, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of APM's products and services.
- Sales Engineering skills to effectively combine technical expertise with sales acumen in understanding and addressing client needs
- Technical Support skills to guide customers in resolving technical challenges related to products or solutions
- Excellent Communication skills to articulate complex concepts, present solutions, and build strong client relationships
- Sales and Customer Service experience to proactively identify opportunities, negotiate contracts, and ensure client satisfaction
- Ability to work on-site at our Scottsburg, IN location along with proficiency in tools like CAD and Microsoft Project
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a customer-focused mindset
- Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes is advantageous
