** The Product Innovation Engineer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing new products or enhancing existing ones to meet customer needs and market demands. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, design, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure the successful implementation of innovative solutions. The engineer is expected to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

** Essential Functions
** Product Development
* Lead the ideation, design, and development of new products or product features from concept to launch
* Conduct market research and gather customer insights to identify opportunities for innovation
* Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools to create detailed product designs and prototypes
* Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and optimize production processes

Innovation and Research
* Explore and integrate new technologies, materials, and processes to enhance product performance and customer experience
* Collaborate with R&D teams to experiment with new ideas, conduct testing, and refine product concepts
* Analyze industry trends and competitive products to inform the innovation strategy

Project Management
* Manage product innovation projects, including setting timelines, budgets, and milestones
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
* Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and challenges

Quality Assurance
* Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
* Participate in testing and validation processes to verify product performance and reliability
* Identify and address potential risks in the design and development stages

Customer Focus
* Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points
* Translate customer feedback into actionable product improvements and innovations
* Support the marketing and sales teams in communicating product benefits and features to customers

*** Education Qualifications
*** Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Innovation Management, or a related field is required
** Experience Qualifications
*** Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and other advanced manufacturing technologies is preferred
*
* Skills and Abilities

*** Proven experience in product development and innovation, preferably in a related industry
* Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Good communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
* Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
** Licenses and Certifications
*** Valid driver's license is required
