Director of Process Engineering

We are looking for Director of Process Engineering who will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of e-commerce fulfillment operations across a multi-facility distribution network. This person will be responsible for process engineering, technology integration, labor management, and performance analytics to deliver exceptional service levels at minimal cost and waste.

• Evaluate and improve inbound, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping processes using Lean/Six Sigma.
• Map workflows to identify inefficiencies and develop improvement roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Standardize processes across facilities, incorporate site-specific needs, and monitor emerging technologies.
• Design layouts and optimize space utilization, traffic flow, throughput, and picking/packing/shipping strategies.
• Support capacity planning and facility expansion through process-based space analysis.

• Establish KPI frameworks and dashboards for efficiency, quality, safety, and cost metrics.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct variance analyses, benchmarking, and ROI assessments for investments and process changes.
• Employ advanced simulation and modeling for process evaluation and scalability planning.
• Champion Lean/Six Sigma adoption and lead kaizen events.
• Develop improvement roadmaps for waste elimination, quality enhancement, and cost reduction.
• Institutionalize SOPs, process documentation, and compliance audits to sustain improvements.

• Define quality standards, audit programs, and root cause corrective actions.
• Collaborate on ergonomic assessments, safety protocols, and compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
• Support evaluation, configuration, and integration of WMS, WES, and automation systems.
• Develop system-dependent process improvements (wave optimization, batching algorithms) and monitor performance.

• Bachelor’s in Industrial/Operations/Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or related;
  Master’s preferred.
• 12+ years in process engineering, supply chain, or operations; 8+ years in fulfillment/warehouse engineering; 5+ years leadership.
• Expertise in Lean/Six Sigma; strong e-commerce or high-velocity fulfillment experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, analytics tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI), WMS/WES systems, automation technologies.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred;
  Six Sigma Black Belt highly desired.

• MBA; advanced supply chain certifications (APICS CSCP/CPIM).
• Experience with discrete event simulation, warehouse automation, emerging fulfillment technologies.
• Multi-site/international operations exposure.

• Office-based with frequent site visits; 20–30% travel.
• PPE required in warehouse environments; flexible schedule for critical projects.
