As a Component Design Engineer for gas turbine Turbo machinery components you will be part of the global Engineering, Technology & Safety (ET&S) Turbo machinery organization. You will develop complex engineering solutions that satisfy cutting‑edge aerospace functional and physical requirements and exhibit robustness for manufacturing capability. Within your assigned propulsion system program, you’ll be responsible for developing, assessing, and delivering high‑performance gas turbine turbo machinery components that push the envelope with performance, life, and efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing- Create component design definition in accordance with module, system, and customer interface requirements.
- Create dimensional tolerance stacks, establish Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements, and support manufacturing to produce conforming hardware.
- Support the supply chain in procuring hardware including review of supplier documentation, assessment of non‑conforming hardware, and review of supplier change proposals.
- Review and approve component requirements for their responsible sub‑system’s hardware. Develop, approve, and execute validation plans to demonstrate compliance to the requirements.
- Present and defend design solutions and technical work to program leadership and other stakeholders.
- Support manufacturing, assembly, service, and aftermarket issues promptly as they arise to keep production on target and the fleet in operation.
- Perform a leadership role in investigations of in‑service and/or development hardware issues including Engine Investigations, failure analysis, root cause / corrective action (RCCA), Technical Variance consultation, reporting, and documentation. Share findings with the global turbo machinery team in accordance with export control regulations.

Basic Requirements- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience in design engineering, Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering OR;
- A Master’s degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering OR;
- JD/PHD in Engineering.
