As a Test Facility Mechanical Engineer for Rolls‑Royce you’ll work with all aspects of test facility life cycles. The test facility lifecycle consists of work related to new facility creation, conversion and adaptation of test equipment, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, capability improvements, and facility decommissioning activities.

- Evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptation and modifications to existing test equipment.
- Applies, sizes, selects, installs, uses, and troubleshoots process control systems, load absorbers, valves, piping, fittings, tubing, pumps, motors, pneumatic systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Creates specifications, cost/schedule estimates, obtains vendor quotations, and initiates procurement/fabrication process.
- Performs job oversight during the test facility conversions or test equipment installations. Provides direction for internal personnel and/or contracted personnel. Organizes safety meetings related to installation efforts. Coordinates to ensure installations do not interfere with other testing that may be in progress or planned.
- Documents work through concept sketches, layouts, drawings, reports, memos, best practice guides, and regular status updates/emails.
- Developing solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope. Working without constant or direct oversight, but under the general guidance of the team manager or more senior engineers.

Basic Requirements- An Associate’s degree in Engineering or Technology with 3+ years of engineering experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with 1 year+ of engineering experience OR;
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology OR;
- JD/PhD
