TITLE:
Design Engineer

Comp: From $90,000 - $120,000/yr depending upon experience

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Design Engineer direct hire position in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and document manufacturing-ready engineering designs, ensuring deadlines for development and drawings are met.
• Contribute to all stages of the design-build process, supporting multiple projects from concept to installation.
• Assist with material procurement when required.
• Oversee fabrication of engineered components, ensuring accuracy and functionality; serve as the primary liaison to Manufacturing Operations and recommend solutions as needed.
• Provide engineering updates and project progress reports to senior leadership.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality control systems.
• Contribute to project time and cost estimation, as well as ongoing tracking of resources and expenses.
• Engage with suppliers and vendors to stay informed on new technologies and integrate them into equipment designs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, MET, or related Engineering field
• Experience utilizing Solid Works
• Experience designing small to large fabricated sheet metal projects
• Previous experience at a custom machine builder
• 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, machine building, or design/build projects

TERMS: This is a direct hire position that pays from $90,000 - $120,000/yr depending upon experience.
