Overview
The Plant Engineer is responsible for performing entry and intermediate level engineering work activities, requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe and responsible manner. This position will support both Lawrenceburg and Darby Facilities.
Lawrenceburg Power LLC is a Combined Cycle 4X2 1200mw Power Plant consisting of four (4) GE 7FA Combustion Turbines, four (4) Aalborg HRSG’s, two (2) GE D11 Steam Turbine and supporting balance of plant equipment. Five (5) CAT Black Start Diesel Generators. Darby Power LLC is a Simple Cycle 6 Unit Site consisting of 7EA machines. Darby is in Mt. Sterling Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ability to work in a fast pace complex environment, in both an individual and team capacity.

- Provide technical guidance with respect to all plant activities to ensure compliance with all appropriate local, state and federal environmental control regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Act and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Support all Plant Safety & Environmental Policies and Procedures. Keep Safety and Environmental as the top priority with respect to all responsibilities and efforts.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture where energy is utilized to identify and improve business gaps.
- Embrace personal development opportunities, either by exposure or training.
- Assist in process evaluations, including materials, temperatures, flows, and pressures involving gases, fluids and solids. Examples of equipment are pumps, valves, HRSGs, Electrical Components, and rotating equipment.
- Execute or coordinate structural analysis reviews and recommendations.
- Execute or coordinate root cause analysis to determine failure mechanisms.
- Lead maintenance or project improvement opportunities.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of facility’s heat rate parameters and improvement opportunities.
- Optimize material, parts, and equipment inventories to maintain facility in a responsible manner.
- Provide guidance, technical and field support for the monitoring, inspection and maintenance of the various plant systems and supporting ancillary equipment.
- Conduct results engineering, including performance tests, analyzing operating data, and developing operational plans and equipment recommendations to optimize performance and profitability.
- Recommend and direct strategic improvements to equipment design, operations, and maintenance initiatives.
- Support the development of plant O&M and capital forecast, as well as formulate business cases.
- Responsible for project KPI’s: safety, environmental, budget, schedule, quality, reliability, etc.
- Develop technical/construction work scopes and thoroughly review technical proposals.
- B.S. or advanced degree in related engineering discipline from an accredited university in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical engineering.
- 0–5 years of relevant engineering experience, including internships, co-ops, or project-based work

Skills:
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint) - Commitment to achieving zero harm with respect to safety and environmental compliance.
- 2-5 years of power plant experience
- General knowledge of ASME, AWS, AISC, and HEI.
- Experience with OSIsoft (PI), AMS Machinery Manager, Emerson Ovation, ABB S+ Engineering, Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, Control Logix 5000
