Location: Indianapolis

Responsibilities

  • Install, start up, and support advanced manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
  • Execute commissioning and qualification activities to ensure systems operate according to specifications.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance as well as corrective repairs to maintain equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation-related issues and implement effective solutions in the field.
  • Provide on-site customer training covering equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with internal engineering and product teams to relay field feedback and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed service documentation, including installation reports, service records, and technical recommendations.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver remote technical support when needed, guiding customers through diagnostics and issue resolution.
  • Travel to customer locations within the U.S. and internationally to support installations and service activities.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
  • Entry-level to early-career experience (0–2+ years) in field service, equipment maintenance, or technical support; experience in regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems is beneficial.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, customer-focused mindset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including domestic and international assignments (up to ~70%).
