Location: New Carlisle

Responsibilities

  • Perform acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and commissioning of electrical power distribution systems in accordance with NETA standards
  • Conduct testing and analysis on:
    Low, medium, and high-voltage switch gear, Power and distribution transformers, Protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based), Circuit breakers (air, vacuum, SF6), Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Power cables and bus systems, Grounding systems and battery systems
  • Perform relay calibration, breaker timing, insulation resistance testing, transformer turns ratio testing, contact resistance testing, and cable testing
  • Interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, coordination studies, and protection settings
  • Troubleshoot complex power system issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead or support field commissioning projects and outage work
  • Ensure compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 70E), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and NETA ATS/MTS standards
  • Prepare detailed field service reports and documentation
  • Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance as needed
  • Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service excellence
Qualifications
  • Active NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV preferred)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical testing and commissioning
  • Strong knowledge of power system protection and coordination
  • Experience working with energized equipment and critical power systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
