JobFunctions / Responsibilities
- Assists in development projects from concept, to design and analysis, to validation testing and review. Coordinates with cross-functional groups to release and implement design into production while maintaining corporate objectives.
- Conducts design and analysis using quality design tools, robust engineering and LEAN principles.
- Performs design modification and continuous improvements as appropriate
- Investigates manufacturing and service issues utilizing root cause analysis
- Conducts necessary research incidental to design
- Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSMET) or relevant degree
- Solid mechanical aptitude with demonstrated use of analytical abilities
- Exposure to and understanding of quality, design and validation tools), tolerance stacking and LEAN principles a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Inventor or similar 3-D CAD software and MS Office products
- Ability to drive results in to completion while maintaining project timelines
- Goal oriented, adaptable, self-starter with the desire to learn
- Strong attention to detail with “big picture” focus
- Some travel required – less then 10%
