The Head of Biopharma Solutions is responsible for leading a global engineering team of hardware, systems and scientists to deliver innovative, compliant and scalable solutions that accelerate scientific discovery and transform patient outcomes worldwide. Work alongside product management team to drive technology and portfolio strategy across biopharma solutions.
This position reports to the VP of Research and Development and is part of the Global Research and Development department, will be located in Loveland, Colorado, and will be an on-site role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Define and execute on long-term strategy aligned with corporate objectives and R&D priorities
- Product innovation through adoption of modern architectures and emerging technologies to accelerate life sciences solutions
- Build, lead, and mentor a diverse, high-performing engineering organization across multiple geographies
- Oversee end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring quality, scalability, and compliance with industry standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams in software, product management, operations, and regulatory teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Governance & Compliance - Establish robust processes for hardware development and regulatory compliance in all products
- Build a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning within a team
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in hardware engineering (mechanical, electrical or related field) and 15+ years’ experience
- 6+ years’ experience in a global leadership role
- Experience in modular hardware design, embedded systems, and electromechanical integration to deliver complex life science products
- Working knowledge of Quality and Regulatory experience
- Ability to lead effectively across multiple hardware disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, as well as the development science team
- Working knowledge of highly regulated quality management systems, international compliance standards, including medical device standards, such as ISO 13485
- Cross-functional leadership and adaptive communication adjusting depth and detail depending on target audience (from engineers to senior executives)
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel – up to 30%, both domestically and internationally
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience in life science instrumentation; preferably in separations, cell health, and/or particle characterization
- Experience in biology, biotechnology, and/or bioengineering
- Customer insights and have a strong desire to interact with customers
